The opening ceremony will take place on Thursday, May the 18th 2017, and the closing ceremony will be held on Sunday, May the 21st 2017.

We’ll gather at the Grand Amphithéâtre of Lyon 2 University at 2pm, to properly open the conference, comfortably seated on red velvet among the great architecture and paintings of this nonesuch place of Lyon. We’ll receive Mr. Benoit MIRIBEL, Honorary Chairman of Action Against Hunger, Director General of the Merieux Foundation and Chairman of the French Center for Funds and Foundations. His intervention will be about global health : a human right and a pillar of international security. Well begun is half done !

After days of harsh debates in committees, we’ll join together one last time on Sunday at 2pm in one of Lyon’s most iconic places : La Chapelle de la Trinité, a baroque church which hasn’t been used for religious purposes for decades. It was built between 1617 and 1622 in the center of the city and, over the centuries, it has been the nest of some major events : it was in this very place that in 1802, Napoléon Bonaparte proclaimed the birth of the first Italian Republic.
The LyonMun will be closed by Mrs. Smriti SONAM: ECOSOC representative at the United Nations, Organizer and Co-chair of The Changemakers Summit at the United Nations.
